Private new patient marketing
A steady flow of private new patients
New-patient exams and plan members are the base every practice grows from. They fill the hygiene book, give your clinicians people to treat, and feed every private treatment that follows. We find them locally, filter out the enquiries you can’t serve, and get them registered.
The problem
Most new-patient enquiries are looking for something else
Searches for a new dentist are dominated by people trying to find an NHS place. Run a broad campaign and much of the budget goes on enquiries a private practice cannot help, followed by awkward calls for reception.
Meanwhile the patients you want, local families and professionals willing to pay for good care, are rarely asked to join a plan at the right moment. The exam goes well, then nobody follows up, and they drift back to only calling when something hurts.
What we do
Find private patients locally, and keep them
- Google campaigns for private new-patient searches, with NHS, free and emergency-only searches excluded and ads that say clearly the practice is private.
- Meta campaigns aimed at the postcodes around each clinic, introducing the team and what joining looks like, for people who have just moved or are unhappy with their current dentist.
- A simple new-patient offer, such as an exam and hygiene appointment, with the price and what it includes stated clearly.
- Plan explained at the right time: what membership covers, what it costs per month and why it suits people who want regular care, offered after the first visit rather than in the first ad.
- Online booking and LeadFlow AI chat, so people who look at your website in the evening can book without waiting for reception to open.
- Tracking from ad to plan sign-up, so you know which areas and campaigns produce long-term patients.
Advertising rules. Every ad and landing page we write follows the GDC’s guidance on ethical advertising and the ASA’s CAP Code: no misleading claims, clear pricing and finance terms, and no pressure tactics. Your practice’s reputation is never the price of a lead.
How it’s measured
Measured on registrations, not clicks
A new patient is valuable because of the years that follow, so the first appointment is only the start of the measure.
- Cost per new patient examined
- Spend divided by new patients who attended their first appointment.
- Plan sign-up rate
- The share of new patients who join a membership plan.
- Private versus NHS enquiries
- How many enquiries were for services you don’t offer, by campaign.
- Twelve-month value
- What new patients from each campaign spent in their first year.
Who you’ll work with
We’ll show you how many of your new-patient enquiries were never private patients in the first place.

Questions practices ask
New patients FAQs
How do private dental practices attract new patients?
Be easy to find locally on Google and Maps, run search campaigns for private new-patient terms with NHS searches excluded, introduce the team on Facebook and Instagram to people nearby, make booking possible out of hours, and invite patients to join a plan after a good first visit.
How do we stop NHS enquiries from our ads?
Say “private” clearly in the ad and on the page, show the new-patient price, exclude NHS and free-check-up search terms, and ask a short qualifying question on the booking form. Some will still get through, but the volume drops sharply.
Should we advertise our membership plan directly?
Usually it works better as the second step. Lead with a clear new-patient exam, then explain the plan once the patient has met the team. Ads for plans alone tend to attract people comparing prices rather than people looking for a dentist.
How long does it take for new-patient marketing to pay back?
Longer than cosmetic campaigns, because the value builds over years of check-ups, hygiene and treatment. Track twelve-month value per campaign rather than the first appointment fee, so good campaigns aren’t cut too early.
Who owns the ad accounts and the data?
You do. Campaigns run in your own Meta and Google accounts with access you grant, your CRM stays yours, and your dashboard shows you everything we see. If you ever leave, it all stays with you.
Do your ads follow the GDC and ASA rules?
Yes. Every ad, form and landing page we write follows the GDC’s guidance on ethical advertising and the ASA’s CAP Code: accurate claims, clear pricing and finance terms, consent for any patient imagery, and no pressure tactics.
